Abby Lundborg, Director of Operations
Abby Lundborg is Children of Tomorrow’s Director of Operations who specializes in project management, training and development. She coaches the COT team through day-to-day challenges along with weekly, monthly and yearly goal planning. She brings her experience in quality care and education to help teachers and staff set and achieve their goals.
Before joining the Children of Tomorrow team, Abby worked for both a large corporation and a non-profit organization where she was a Center Director and Quality Team Lead of Education and Development. She also has experience in grant writing and is a member of the Minnesota Child Care Association, along with being a qualified trainer through the state of Minnesota.
She has a degree in Human Relations and Early Childhood Education and has also studied Special Education. She believes that Early Childhood Education sets the groundwork for a child’s future. We are responsible for creating a love and dedication to learning.
Abby lives just outside of Carver where you’ll find her spending time with her husband and three children. They enjoy spending time together playing outside or having pizza and movie nights.


Mara Habisch, Director of Core Values, is an experienced staff engagement specialist and social media manager who creates opportunities for all Children of Tomorrow employees to celebrate their accomplishments, goals, and boosts morale at all COT locations. Driven by Children of Tomorrow’s Core Values, she takes pride in having the best employee, family, and community experiences and events. Her goal as Director of Core Values is a continued partnership with our surrounding communities, families, and COT employees.
Mara holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Rasmussen College and has worked in the childcare industry since 2007 in various classroom management roles. Mara resides in western, MN with her husband and three children.
Chelsea Lapham, Director of Partnerships and Development

Chelsea is a graduate of St. Cloud Technical College with a degree in Information Technology and emphasis on Medical Technology. Chelsea decided to then follow her true passion, Early Childhood Education. Chelsea started her teaching journey by earning her Child Development Associates in 2012. Chelsea has worked her way up into management positions and came to COT with a passion to educate, empower, develop and inspire teachers.
You can find Chelsea at all 4 COT locations in a variety of roles. Chelsea is in charge of ensuring teachers are set up for success from hiring and onboarding, benefits program administration, teacher training and utilization of our Mentor Teacher Program. Chelsea is passionate about the curriculum we offer and its goal to fulfill every child’s full potential that she focuses on leading our Curriculum Coordinator Team in bringing knowledge and leadership roles back into each school.
Chelsea enjoys attending sporting events, especially the Vikings games, singing loudly at concerts, and chasing around her fur child, Dallas.
