Hello and welcome to our Children of Tomorrow blog, we are so excited you are here we cannot wait to share, learn and create with you all.
First off, let me start by introducing myself. My name is Mara and I am the Director of Core Values for all four Children of Tomorrow locations. I love that I get to spend time each week at every location (Chanhassen, Carver, Norwood and Waconia). This gives me the opportunity to get to know all of our staff, children and families. In this role, I coordinate all events for each location, I help with administrative work, support the assistant director and directors, run all social media, attend all chamber and community events as we build relationships with our surrounding communities. I truly have the best job! Many don’t know this about me, but I previously worked for Children of Tomorrow in 2000! I was one of the first aides ever hired! It feels awesome to be involved with all 4 of COT’s locations!
A little bit about me personally; I am a mother of 3 beautiful children and wife to my husband Blake. We live west of the Twin Cities in a small farm town. I have a bachelor’s degree in business management, an associate’s degree in sales and management and currently am taking classes for my associates in digital marketing. I am a true learner at heart and very passionate about helping others. I have worked in customer service since I was 18 for Marshall Fields, Macy’s, and Harley Davidson. I love running, camping, fishing, food and being with my family and friends.
I’m going to be really honest with you, this is my first blog ever! We at Children of Tomorrow created this blog because as an educational organization we have so much to share with our families. I want to make sure our families have the opportunity to grow, learn and share with us as a community. It takes a village, and we want to make sure we are all helping each other.
You might be thinking “okay, Mara! What’s in this for me?” Well, let me tell you 🙂 a lot! who wants to learn about new products, ideas, cooking, cleaning, life hacks, education, outdoor play, resources, surrounding businesses, community events, health and safety, and so much more! Feedback is always appreciated and encouraged. We love hearing from you and learning how we can create more opportunities for our COT families.
We will also be giving any of our business partners the chance to write with us as well, how fun is that!
Our goal of this blog is to give back to our readers, share with you what we have learned in the last 18 years and provide our readers with sustainable resources, expert advice and to help you through this amazing thing we call life!
So let’s raise a toast to my first official blog post! I am so happy to be here with you all! Until next month, enjoy every minute of every day!
Mara-
