Yoga is about exploring and learning in a fun, safe and playful way. Yoga and children go hand in hand!
Children of Tomorrow teachers are annually trained on using yoga in the classroom as an activity to support the development of the whole child.
Starting in the toddler room, we use yoga to help children learn breathing techniques, how to quiet the mind, and as a great way to move our bodies and feel healthy. Yoga is an excellent way to teach children about their bodies. When we practice the physical postures or exercises, we learn how to move more freely and with greater ease and awareness. These postures help our bodies become strong and flexible.
As with all forms of exercise, a good yoga practice can mean a good night’s sleep!
